From her small village in the French Loire Valley, Florie was dreaming of traveling across the five continents. She took the opportunity of studying marketing and international business to escape to Russia and Germany. She then specialized in hospitality management through a Master degree from La Rochelle Tourim Business School.
She worked for Accor hotels in French Polynesia, New Zealand and Lyon, where she joined the sales team of the 5-star Sofitel Hotel. After a short experience as a Revenue Manager for Xotels in Barcelona, she decided to fly away to pratice her Spanish across the Atlantic.
During her HopTour of Latin America, she traveled for almost two years through sixteen countries from Cancun to Cape Horn. She met over a hundred responsible tourism initiatives with whom she swapped marketing advice in exchange for room and food. She also shared, through the collaborative platform Hopineo, videos of their good practices for a better and more sustainable tourism.
Back in France, settled in Lyon, she continues to be part of the Hopineo collective and offers her skills in digital marketing strategy, website creation, social media management and videos to tourism entrepreneurs. She's also a journalist, writting about responsible tourism, for the french medias Voyageons-Autrement & TV5 Monde. And she regularly gives lectures about sustainable tourism and marketing at university.
